Brinley Williams Personalised Mugs

Hello everyone, today I’m talking about coffee and mugs. Now generally I’m a happy chilled out person, but there are certain things in life that make me grumpy.  One of those things is when somebody tries drinking out of one of MY mugs.

In our house we have lots of mugs. Most of which are available for anyone to use, but certain mugs are special. They were bought for me, and therefore should be used by just me.

However I’m not an unreasonable person, and I can appreciate that unless my name is actually written on the cup, some people may get confused.

Therefore I was over the moon when the other week I was given the opportunity to order some personalised mugs at

The Brinley Williams site offers customers the chance to order very individualised mugs. They have over 180 different designs to choose from, many of which come in both ceramic mugs which I chose or bone china cups for those who prefer a daintier drinking vessel.

Once a design and type of cup has been chosen, customers can choose other options dependant on the design. Choices include the colours they would like their design in, what wording they would like on the mugs, the colour of the wording and the font in which the wording is written. The different options for each design are  easily navigated.

My personalised mugs

I chose three mugs in the end.

One for Mr A.

Brinley Williams Personalised Mugs

One for my eldest boy who has recently moved back home.

And  one for myself.

Because the designs for each of my mugs were related to how we prefer our hot beverages,  as well as our names I was able to have written on each mug how we take our coffee. There is a huge range of other designs, from mugs to celebrate special events to mugs with cats, butterflies, or even camper vans on.

Each mug cost £9.95 and the postage for all 3 mugs was £3.41. That is fantastic value for money.

Once I placed my order I received an email to confirm my order and the names, and messages to be written on the mugs.  I received a further email when they were dispatched. The mugs arrived just 3 days after I ordered them. Each mug was packaged in a styrofoam box making then very safe during transit.

So now each of us living in the Abrahams household has their own named mug with specific instructions on. There should never be cause for anyone to either drink out of the wrong mug again.

I am thinking the mugs with specific tea or coffee-making instructions would make brilliant presents for my work colleagues.  So I may well be ordering more from the Brinley Williams  mug selection before Christmas.

What type of mug do you think you would choose from the Brinley Williams range?

that is clever, I have seen mugs with names but never what we drink or how many sugars we take, that is really an awesome idea! Thanks for linking up #mg

What a neat idea to have how you take your drinks on the cup. This would be so good for me to have for all my friends as my memory is so poor when people all say different ways they like theirs.

I do love a good mug, I have about 6 that are just “mine” lol. I don’t need one with how I take my tea as they all know how to make or pay the price lol.
