Cream Tea – My Sunday Photo 7/5/17

Hello readers. This weekend has been pants. Not in a huge dramatic way, but just lots of little niggly things.

Its weekends like this where I console myself with cake and you can’t get much better than a traditional cream tea, so that is what I shall be doing tomorrow.

Please note this little beauty that I ate the last time I visited out local tea shop has the correct application of jam followed by cream.

Cream Tea

What way do you put the jam and cream on a scone?

Has to be jam before cream. We love our cream teas. Made strawberry jam yesterday because we always run out. Scones and cream is not quite the same. #MySundayPhoto

Hi Tracey, you could be opening a can of worms here. Being a Devonshire girl I have to say that the clotted cream goes first. A huge dollop, that then has a dollop of strawberry jam on top. I do have friends from Cornwall who would probably disagree…. If I were you I’d have one of each, just for testing purposes of course.

    xx

Hmmmm…… πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€” I disagree with the Devonshire way, but im happy to stuff my face in the name of scientific testing πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†
