Crochet Hogwarts Express (part 1, the train)

Hello everyone. One of the things I love about designing crochet things for my friends is they always bring me new and exciting challenges. Back last year however one of my friends gave me a challenge that I thought I was going to have to pass on. He wanted me to make a crochet Hogwarts Express. Not only that, he wanted it to be a 5 foot long crochet Hogwarts Express. My initial thought was no way! But then I began to think about it, and look at the different shapes that make up the train. And thn I began to play around with some ideas  and before long the train was made.

A crochet hogwarts express train

Because of the size of the whole crochet hogwarts express I shall be publishing the pattern in 3 seperate posts. Today I’m sharing the pattern for the main train. You could make this as a single piece.

I’ve pinned this to my Crochet projects board. I don’t know if I’m good enough to take this on just yet. It’s very clever.
