Crochet Mad Hatter – Free Pattern

Hello everyone. As you may be aware I’m a steampunk. Steampunks love a huge range of literature, but one book that crops up quite regularly in steampunk fashion and artwork is Alice In Wonderland. I was therefore delighted when I was asked to make a character from Alice recently. Further more the lovely lady who ordered it gave me free rein to choose which character to make. I settled on making a crochet Mad Hatter. Based on the original cartoons, this crochet mad hatter certainly looks very mad indeed.

Fabulous! I love his crazy face and his clothes are so colourful, he’s indeed a mad hatter. “Have I gone mad?” “I’m afraid so, but let me tell you something, the best people usually are.”
