Crochet Piglet – Free Pattern
Hello everyone. A few months ago I posted a pattern for a crochet Winnie The Pooh. The pattern has proved to be very popular, so I decided to have a go at making another inhabitant the Hundred Acre Wood. So here is my crochet Piglet.
Crochet Piglet Pattern
All crochet terms are in the US style
Sc = single crochet
Hdc = half double crochet
2sc = 2sc into the next stitch
2tog = crochet next 2 stitches together.
3mm hook
Aran weight yarn.
Head (light pink)
(1) Ch 4, join into ring. Make 6 sc into ring.
(2) 2sc in each stitch.
(3) *Sc next stitch, 2sc into next stitch* 6 times.
(4) sc into each stitch
(5) *Sc in next 2 stitches , 2sc in next st* 6 times.
6) sc into each stitch
7)*Sc in next 3 stitches, 2sc in next stitch* 6 times.
8) Sc into each stitch
8) *Sc in next 4 stitches, 2sc in next stitch * 6 times.
10)Sc into each stitch
11) *Sc in next 5 stitches, 2sc in next stitch* 6 times.
12) Sc into each stitch
13)*Sc into next 6 stitches, 2sc* 6 times
14-17)Sc into each stitch
18)Sc into next 6 stitches , 2tog* 6 times
19)Sc into next 5 stitches , 2tog* 6 times
20) Sc into next 4 stitches, 2tog* 6 times
21-26) Sc into each stitch
27) Sc into next 3 stitches , 2tog* 6 times
28) Sc into next 2 stitches , 2tog* 6 times
29) Sc , 2tog* 6 times
30) 2 tog* 6 times. Stuff. Embroider eyes and eyebrows.
Ears (dark pink)
1) Ch 4, join into ring. Make 6 sc into ring.
2)Sc into each stitch
3) 2sc in each stitch.
4) *Sc in next 3 stitches , 2sc in next st* 3 times.
5)*Sc in next 4 stitches, 2sc in next stitch* 3 times.
6) *Sc in next 5 stitches, 2sc in next stitch * 3 times.
7-8)Sc into each stitch
9) *Sc in next 6 stitches, 2sc in next stitch* 3times.
10-13) Sc into each stitch
14) Sc into next 6 stitches , 2tog* 3 times
15) Sc into each stitch
16) Sc into next 5 stitches, 2tog* 3 times
17) Sc into each stitch
18) Sc into next 4 stitches , 2tog* 3 times
Sew to head. Top of ear should start in row 5.
Nose (dark pink)
1) Chain 5, sc into 2nd chain from hook, hdc into next chain, make 4hdc into last chain, working in the back loops hdc into the next stitch
2) sc into next 2 stitches, 2sc, sc into next 2 stitches, 2sc, sc into last 2 stitches
3-4) sc into each stitch
Stuff and sew to front of nose. Embroder mouth underneath nose.
Body (fuisha pink)
1) Ch 4, join into ring. Make 6 sc into ring.
2) 2sc in each stitch.
3) *Sc next stitch, 2sc into next stitch* 6 times.
4) *Sc in next 2 stitches , 2sc in next st* 6 times.
5)*Sc in next 3 stitches, 2sc in next stitch* 6 times.
6) *sc in next 4 stitches, 2sc in next stitch * 6 times.
7) Sc into each stitch
8) *Sc in next 5 stitches, 2sc in next stitch* 6 times.
9) Sc into each stitch
10) *Sc in next 6 stitches, 2sc in next stitch* 6 times.
11-14) Sc in each stitch.
15) *Sc in next 6 stitches, 2tog* 6 times.
16-19) Sc in each stitch.
20) *Sc in next 5 stitches, 2tog* 6 times.
21-24) Sc in each stitch.
25) *Sc in next 4 stitches, 2tog* 6 times.
26-29) Sc into each stitch
30)*Sc next 3 stitches , 2 tog* 6 times.
31-32) Sc into each stitch
32) Sc into next 2 stitches, 2tog* 6 times
STUFF, sew head to body.
Embroider on stripes in dark red yarn. Stripes should be 2 rows apart
Arms (light pink)
1) Ch 4, join into ring. Make 6 sc into ring.
2) 2sc in each stitch.
3) Sc into each stitch
4) *Sc next stitch, 2sc into next stitch* 6 times.
5-7) sc into each stitch
8) *Sc in next 7 stitches , 2tog* 6
2 times.
9) Sc into each stitch
10)*Sc in next 6 stitches, 2tog* 2 times.
11) Sc into the next 12 stitches, 2tog
12-28) sc into each stitch
29) Ch 1 (turning chain) sc into next 9 stitches
30) Ch 1 (turning chain) 2tog, sc into next 5 stitches , 2tog
31)Ch 1 (turning chain) 2tog, sc into next 3 stitches, 2tog.
Stuff arm, sew to side of body.
Feet & legs light pink
1) Ch 7, 2sc in second ch from hook, sc into next 4 stitches, 6 sc in next ch, turn working into the back loops sc into next 4, 2sc into the last back loop.
2) 2sc in next 2 stitches, sc into next 4 stitches, 2 sc in the next 6 stitches, sc into the next 4stirches 2scc into next 2 stitches.
3) *Sc, 2sc* 2 times, sc into next 4, *sc, 2sc* 6 times, sc into next 4 stitches, *sc, 2sc* 2 times
4-5) Sc into each stitch.
6) 2sc, sc into next 12 stitches, *sc into next 2 stitches, 2tog* 4 times, sc into last 8 stitches.
7) Sc into next 11 stitches, *sc, 2tog* 5 times, sc into last 7 stitches.
8) Sc into next 9 stitches *2tog* 6 times, sc into last 7 stitches.
9) Sc into the next 8 stitcjes, 2tog* 4 times sc into the next 6 stitcjes
10-13) Sc into each stitch
14) Sc into the next 7 stitches, 2tog* 2 times
15-17) sc into each stitch
18) Sc into the next 6 stitcjes, 2tog* 2 times
19) sc into each stitch
Stuff and sew to bottom of body, top of leg sitting on row 8.
