Pirates – My Sunday Photo – 29/07/17

Hello everyone. Last Sunday Mr A and myself took a trip to Ross-on-Wye.  The focus of our visit was the Pirate and Steampunk weekend held at the Hope and Anchor pub.

I have to admit, when I saw the event advertised I did wonder how a pub was going to pull off an event like that given the space in an average pub. What I didn’t realise was this particular pub is set on the banks of the river Wye. They have extensive grounds at the back of the pub along the riverside.

It was a fantastic location for a pirate and steampunk event and was very well attended by steampunks and pirates alike.

Unfortunately due to a dead battery on my phone I only took a handful of pics. However I think they give a flavour of the event.

Because it was such a great event we’re planning to visit again next year in full steampunk pirate attire.

Have you been to any pirate events this year?

There is a really thriving steampunk community in south Wales who put on a lot of these events. Were very lucky xx

Looks like it was a fabulous event and there certainly looks like there was plenty of space in the pub grounds for it. Love the pirate outfits 🙂
