The Internet – To The Tune of The Love Shack By The B52’s

Hello everyone. I appear to have developed a new addiction hobby alongside blogging. Rewriting the lyrics for songs is really fun, and people seem to be enjoying reading them too. I can assure you this weeks parody song is not at all rude or naughty (unlike last weeks offering) but I think it will still make you giggle, so without further ado here’s the song.

The Intenet (to the tune of The Love Shack by The B52’s)

If you see a small sign in a paper that says, £10 a month for the internet.

Internet yeah.

It’s the information super highway.

Googling a foreign getaway,

Searching for a cheep holiday.

I got me a laptop, it’s as quick as a snail, and I’m logging on now to the internet.

I got me a tablet, and a smart phone as well, so hurry up and bring your PayPal money.

The internet is a little old place where we can get together.

Internet baby, internet baby.

Internet baby, internet.

Internet baby internet.( Oh baby that’s where its at)

Bloggers say stay away fools, for stats rule on the internet.

Well there’s Blogger and Weebly and there’s Typepad too,

But WordPress is king, of the self hosting thing.

Facebook in the front room.

Tumblr in the kitchen.

Instagram the bedroom.

Twitter on the toilet!

The internet is a little old place where we can get together,

Internet baby. (internet baby)

Internet, that’s where it’s at,

Internet, that’s where it’s at

Blogging and a tweeting.

Sharing and a liking.

Wearing what you feel like, cus nobody’s watching.

A post goes viral, when everybody shares it around and around and around and around.

Everybody’s googling, everybody’s tweeting baby,

Followers gone up, but Klout scores just gone down.

Everybody’s googling, everybody’s tweeting baby,

Funky little blog

Funky little blog.

I got me a laptop, it’s as slow as a snail, and there’s an Amazon sale.

I got me a tablet, and a smart phone as well, so hurry up and bring your PayPal money.

The internet is a little old place where we can get together.

Internet baby, internet baby

Internet baby, internet,

Internet baby internet.( Oh baby that’s where it’s at)

Bang bang bang on the keyboard

(be a little softer sugar)

Bang bang bang on the keyboard

(I can’t view you)

Bang bang (on the keyboard)

Bang bang (on the keys)

Bang bang (on the keyboard)

Bang bang……..

You what? Facebook’s down!

Internet, baby, internet.

Internet baby internet (that’s where it’s at)

Internet baby internet. (that’s where it’s at)

Internet baby internet.

A lot of blog loving on the internet.

I hope you enjoyed this little song. What other songs do you think would make good tunes for a parody?

I love your parodies! They are so witty and clever! How long does it take you to write one? They would take me forever to try right one! Great stuff! #BloggerClubUK

      February 3, 2016 at 7:54 am

I guess I spend 2 to 3 hours on it once I have an idea in my head. Thats the hard bit, chosing a song and a line of a few words in the song that will give me the focus of the parody. Xx

    February 3, 2016 at 8:01 am
