Who Wants To Buy A Tractor

Hello everyone. I spent my early childhood and later teenage years living on a farm, so I’m very use to being around tractors. These days most tractors are big powerful, but the small tractors I remember from my childhood are still around.
I saw one such tractor in a local farm shop earlier today while out with Mr A.

A little red tractor sat on a brick patio

Did you know you can tell the make of a tractor by its colour. This little tractor is a Massey Ferguson because its red. Fords are blue, John Deeres are green and David Browns are white……  Anyway I’m getting side tracked. What I really wanted to point out in this picture is the sign leaning up against the wheels.

A tractor shaped chalk board lent against a tractor wheel. Hello i'm Muddy. Im for sale. Enquire within is written on the sign.

The tractor is FOR SALE!! Now you maybe thinking

“but Mrs A, you told us you can’t drive”

and you would be correct. However this is where  my knowledge of farm life comes in useful. You don’t need a full driving licence to drive a tractor, and can go up to 10km away from where the tractor is permanently housed without a licence.

Think about it. I could go up the bastard hill to the pub, down to Tesco. I woud never have to worry about being snowed in and I could even go and visit my mum.

Admittedly it might get a bit cold driving it in winter, but  no more than when I had a scooter. I’m seriously thinking of setting up a Go Fund Me account to help me raise the money. Will you donate??

Thank you, Mrs A Xx

Ha ha you should definitely consider it! You would not believe how many tractors I meet driving around the roads where I live in Ireland. There are so many farmers who drive their tractors into town to do their shopping. Ok I will admit it gets annoying at times when you get stuck behind them on a twisty road so there is no chance of overtaking, but this really happens. Don’t rule it out! #abitofeverything

I never knew you could drive a tractor on the road without a license. Why not take it to Tesco then? I say buy it! #abitofeverything

You’d cause chaos in tesco carpark and you’d never get the speed up to get out either of the junctions lol #abitofeverything

I think you would rock this tractor, Mrs. A, or you can consider a golf cart? No license needed, and you don’t need to play golf! Either way, you would be raring’ to go at every turn! #abitofeverything xoxo

Oh that’s brilliant, I’d love a tractor! And I live in the middle of a city, imagine how they’d feel around here if I was on the road in a tractor 🙂

Haha this is the best logic ever for buying a tractor and it would probably be cheaper than learning to drive and then buying and running a car. I say do it

Well there’s something different. never thought I’d see the day tractors – big or small – would be cool! Where I grew up they were strictly functional. If you are serious about purchasing, let us all know in terms of donation etc. #ABitOfEverything

Wow, I had no idea that the colours showed what make the tractor was. I’ve always fancied driving one and would be pretty tempted if I were you 😀 #ABitOfEverything

We used to live near a man who would buy the odd tractor and use them like cars, we lived in the town, not the countryside #abitofeverything@_karendennis

Haha, yes! Go for it! I’m afraid I’m not in a position to donate, I wish I was… I think the tractor would fit in well with your quirky, steampunky personality 😀👍x #PointShoot

Lol what a fantastic idea! My grandad was a farmer, never had a license but still drove his red Massey Ferguson into town whenever he needed to!

Ha ha. What a lovely little tractor. We stopped at a garage with a Subway to grab a sandwich the other week after Buddy’s rugby match.
When we came out there was a tractor parked besides us!

I can just see you going up the hill with your shopping on it.

Ahh! I lived on a farm when I was a child and my dad had a Fergie tractor. I used to sit on my dad’s knee and steer it.
Ohh! I did not know that about not needing a license to drive a tractor….You have got me thinking now. Do I have room for one in my back yard. hehehe
